Robert Lee Foy

LEXINGTON – A memorial service for Robert L. “Bob” Foy, 73, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 17, 2011, at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church Building Fund, 119 North Church St., Lexington, SC 29072.

Mr. Foy was born November 27, 1937 in Atlanta, GA, and passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2011. He was a son of the late Sally Mae and John Wesley Foy. “Bob” was a lifetime member of the St. Andrews-Irmo Sertoma Club. He was also a member of St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church and the Men’s Sunday school class. He enjoyed traveling all over the world, and particularly liked RV travel throughout the United States and Canada. He also enjoyed hiking and flying. Mr. Foy was a member of the US Army Reserves and a graduate of the University of Georgia.

He enjoyed a long successful career with Ideal Industries Incorporated and was a member of their “Top Ten Club”.

Mr. Foy is survived by his wife, Janice McDonald Foy; son, Jason Foy; brother, John Sanford Foy, sisters, Carolyn Foy Barry and Martha Foy Hilley. Mr. Foy was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Raymond Foy and Gordon Foy.
