Robert Corder, 75, passed away at Lexington Medical Center on September 30, 2021. He was born to the late Dean Corder and Nell Mixon Corder on October 13, 1945 in Charleston, SC.
Robert grew up in Kingstree where his love for the low country, fishing, and Southern food was born. He proudly served in the National Guard and trained at Fort Jackson in Columbia, SC. He lived most of his life in Atlanta where he met his wife of 33 years, Debi. Debi was a perfect match for Robert and was there holding his hand when he passed. Robert and Debi had recently moved to Columbia to be closer to Robert’s only child, Mendy, who he passed on his love of reading, good food and good wine. Robert’s quick wit and infectious laughter will be missed by all who knew him.
Robert’s celebration of life will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Visitation will follow the service.
