Stan lived most of his life in Lexington County and served many years as a volunteer fireman, sheriff's deputy, and co-founder of the Lexington Rescue Squad. (hardware), Boog and Hammer’s convenience store (Gilbert), Miller's Back When (antiques), and Miller's Ltd. (home decor).
A life-long Clemson Tiger, Stan traveled and took his family to countless home and away football games. During the 1981 championship season, he attended every game, home and away. In his later years, his stamina might have diminished, but not his passion. He watched nearly every televised football, baseball and basketball game right until the end.
