Phillip was a certified SC DNR fishing instructor and recently received the Mr. Sunshine Award. He was the founder and Senior Vice President of the Happy to Be Here Club where the only requirement for membership was to bring joy to other people’s lives. He recruited by example and has worldwide members.
He loved the outdoors and helping others while expecting nothing in return. You could usually find him fishing, working outside or on a project, or tending his yard. He was kind and fair. His integrity and positive energy is the legacy he left behind. He was loved by many and will be missed by all whose lives he touched. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
