LEXINGTON - Phillip E. Dickman, 70, of Lexington, died Thursday, January 28, 2016 with his family by his side. He was born May 8, 1945 in Sharon, PA, son of Clarence and Ethel Dickman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Dickman of Burghill, OH.
Phillip was a retired Funeral Director with 48 years of dedicated service to Kepner Funeral Homes in Wheeling, WV. Phil was a caring and compassionate man who had an incredible ability to help his community. His passion was his family. He treasured the times spent with his wife, children and grandchildren.
Surviving are his devoted and loving wife, of 50 years, Patricia A. Dickman, three children, Christopher T. (Norah) Dickman of Tega Cay, SC. Lori A. (Jason) Torbett of Lexington, SC and Brian S. (Whitney) Dickman of Nashville, TN, six granddaughters, Olivia (Aaron) Angel, Alyssa Dickman, Sydney Torbett, Hannah Martin, Julia and Brynn Dickman; two grandsons, Jake Dickman and Brooks Torbett and one great-granddaughter, Caroline Angel. Also surviving is one sister, Dolly (Jim) Messersmith; one sister-in-law, Betty Dickman and one brother, Tom Dickman.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Lexington United Methodist Church, Sunday, January 31, 2016. The family is also planning a memorial service at 10:00 a.m. at Elm Grove United Methodist Church in Wheeling, WV on Saturday, February 6, 2016.
