Patricia Langford Glasscock, passed from her earthly home to her heavenly home after a brief illness on May 6, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Always a wonderful daughter, wife, mom, grandmother and friend to all, Pat was born September 6, 1931 in Columbia, SC to the late Enoch Mark and Caroline Tarrer Langford. Pat grew up in Rock Hill, SC where she met and married the love of her life and husband of 55 years, the late Earl P. Glasscock, Jr. She graduated from Winthrop Training School and Palmer Business School. Pat worked at Clemson while Earl attended college there and upon his graduation, they moved to Denmark, SC where she worked as a bookkeeper for McMillan Chevrolet and raised four children. She supported Earl in his many civic activities, taught the Toddler Sunday School Class at Bethel Park Methodist Church for many years and was an avid bridge player, playing in several women’s and couples’ bridge clubs. She and Earl moved to Lexington, SC in 1977. In Lexington, she worked for Herndon Chevrolet in accounts payable and continued to play bridge in numerous bridge clubs. She enjoyed traveling with Earl and later with her “Silver Belles” friends. In addition, she enjoyed water aerobics with the “Water Lilies” at Harbison Recreation Center. She was a long-time member of Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church. Pat is survived by her three daughters; Elaine Peterson (Jim) of Moncks Corner, SC, Tara Thrasher (Tommy) of Savannah, GA and Suzanne Glasscock of Cowpens, SC. She was predeceased by her son, Rusty Glasscock (Holly) in February. She was a loving mommee to Justin Peterson (Sarah), Patti Peterson, Jordan Peterson, Evan Glasscock (Ashley), Alex Hopkins (Jeremy), Mark (Sasha) Thrasher, Tyler Thrasher, Rhine Thrasher, Espan Thrasher, Thomas Thrasher, Amber Patton, and Billy Moore, two great-grandchildren; Maddie Peterson and Gavin Hopkins. In addition, she is also survived by three nephews and their families. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home Lexington Chapel, with interment to follow at, Woodridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 8, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00p.m. at Caughman Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Thornwell Children’s Home, 302 S. Broad Street, Clinton, SC 29325; or the Charity of one's choice.
