After his graduation from AC Flora High School, he attended the Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina and graduated in 1975. He served in the Army for 27 years and retired as Lieutenant Colonel. He recently retired after 20 years with South Carolina Emergency Management.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Tobey, his stepdaughter Cameron (Kevin) Lawracy, five grandchildren, and cousins Robert McCallister, Susan (Bill) Wight, and Jeanie (Michael) Yelton.
A visitation will be held at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, 503 North Lake Drive in Lexington on Tuesday, June 18 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 pm.
