Ms. Nash passed away Saturday, December 30, 2023. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, she was the daughter of the late Earl Thomas and Norma Ann Prouse. Ms. Nash worked as a registered nurse with Prisma Richland Hospital for more than 27 years in ICU and CVICU, serving as both a nurse manager and nurse educator for much of her career.
Surviving are her son, Christopher Nash (Stephen Trzuskowski) of Columbia, SC and her daughter, Katrina Whitehurst (Daniel) of Lorton VA; grandchildren, Abigail and Walter Whitehurst of Lorton, VA; sisters, Nora Prouse, Tina Prouse, Margaret Riggins, and Jennifer Prouse, all of Lexington, SC; brothers, John Prouse of Gilbert SC and Michael Prouse of Marana, AZ; numerous nieces, nephews, great- nieces and nephews; and her special dog, Molly.
She was predeceased by her parents and brothers, William Douglas Prouse, Earl Thomas Prouse, Jr., and Joseph Gerard Prouse.
Services for Mary Prouse Nash, 72, of Lexington SC, will be held at 12 PM, Thursday, January 4, 2024, at the Lexington Chapel of Caughman Harman Funeral Home, 503 North Lake Drive, Lexington, SC 29072. Officiating will be Rev. Mark. The family will receive friends prior to the service Thursday, from 11:00-11:45 AM, with fellowship immediately following service until 2:15 PM. Burial will be at 3:00 PM at Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, SC 29072.
Pall Bearers will be Scott Riggins, Joshua Riggins, Sarah Riggins, Steven Prouse, Daniel Whitehurst, and Walter Whitehurst.
