Mr. Brittain served our country as a Corporal in the US Army from 1964 – 1968 and retired from the US Postal Service after 32 years. He was a member of the Lexington County Veterans Group, an avid gardener and Clemson Tigers fan. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.
Mr. Brittain is survived by his wife, Judy Kyzer Brittain; daughter, Tracy B. Sheppard (Alan); grandchildren, Caitlyn Ann Sheppard, James Lee Sheppard; honorary grandchild, Tyler Mathias; siblings, John Brittain (Glenda), Mattie Brazell (Earl), Bobby Brittain, Ovea Rudd (Ron). In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Harriet Branham.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at Lexington Memorial Cemetery. The family requests casual dress for those who attend. Memorials may be made by check payable to Central Midlands Transitional Retreat, 201 Duffie Drive, Lexington, SC 29072 in memory of Marvin.
