Margaret "Peggy" Puckett

COLUMBIA – Funeral services for Margaret “Peggy” Puckett, 84, widow of Lester Puckett, will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Dunbar Funeral Home Dutch Fork Chapel with interment in Bush River Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 1, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Abbey Road Hospice, 5429 Bush River Rd, Columbia, SC 29212. She passed away at home after a short illness. Mrs. Puckett was born January 23, 1932 in Columbia SC to the late Albert Cooper and Laura Campbell Cooper and passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016. She retired from Southern Bell after 40 years of service and volunteered at Lexington Village Square Theater. She also enjoyed fishing and dancing. Peggy is survived by her children, Tony (Diane) Puckett of Conway, Joni (Barry) Crosby of Irmo; sister, Elaine Johnson of Columbia; grandchildren, William and Eric Puckett, Michelle Jackson and Michael Stanley, Rachel Nozinovic; great-grandchildren, Chris, Bryson, Zach, Blake, Mason, Mckenzie and Alex; nieces and nephews Steve, Kelli and Dona. She was predeceased by, her brother, A.S. Cooper, Jr. (Margaret).
