Manhar "Manny" Naranbhai Patel

He graduated with a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas A & I. His career as Engineer started from 1978 in Gastonia, NC and soon landed in Irmo, SC in 1984 where he worked at SCE&G, V.C. Summer nuclear facility. He was a successful entrepreneur and saw opportunities where others did not. He owned and operated several convenience stores and gas stations as well as liquor store. He eventually transitioned into owning a steel fabrication business where his wife took charge and has successfully run it for many years.

Manny lived his life to the fullest with no regrets. He was an avid sports fan; all sports and he loved taking the over!

Surviving are Gira Patel, his wife of 43 years; Nihar, son; Olivia, daughter-in-law; and Jag, grandson of Greenville, SC; his brothers, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, Jeremy, and many friends who will miss him dearly. He is predeceased by his son, Neil Patel.

Funeral services are coordinated by Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel and will be held on November 6, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at 503 North Lake Drive, Lexington, SC 29072. Visitation is arranged on November 5, 2021 from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Family and friends will gather for celebration in the memory of Manhar's life from 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. on November 6 at Gira Steel, 841 Williams Street, West Columbia, SC 29169.
