It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Louise Creech, who departed from this world on July 29, 2023. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and cherished memories that will forever be etched in our hearts. Born on October 1, 1922 in Barnwell, SC, Louise was the daughter of the late Chester and Rozeal Still.
Louise was a devoted wife to her late husband, Ralph Julian Creech and together they shared a love that served as an inspiration to all. As a mother, Louise was the epitome of selflessness. She dedicated her life to raising and nurturing her children, Marion and Grady, who preceded her in death and her legacy will live on through the values she instilled in Betty Seibert (Ed), Frances Emanuel, and Lynn Dawkins (Dennis). Her unwavering love, guidance, and wisdom shaped them into the incredible individuals they are today.
In addition to her role as a wife and mother, Louise was a devoted grandmother to nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren who all call her “Tootie.” She took great delight in the company of her grandchildren. She showered them with affection, wisdom, and cherished memories that will forever be treasured.
Louise had a natural gift for bringing joy to others. Her warm smile, contagious laughter, and compassionate nature brightened the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She had a unique ability to make everyone feel seen, heard, and loved. Her home was a sanctuary, where friends and family gathered to share in her warmth and hospitality.
Louise will be deeply missed by all who know her. Her unwavering love, kindness, and gentle spirit will forever remain in our hearts. While we mourn her passing, we take solace in knowing that she has found eternal peace and is reunited with loved ones previously departed.
A service to celebrate the 100 years of Louise’s remarkable life will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 1st, 2023 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home-West Columbia Chapel located at 820 West Dunbar Road, West Columbia, SC 29170. A burial will follow at Woodridge Memorial Park located at 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, SC 29072. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Family and friends are invited to attend and pay their respects.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Louise’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, http://www.stjude.org
As we say our final goodbyes to our beloved Louise, we are reminded that she will forever be a guiding light in our lives. May her soul rest in eternal peace, knowing the depth of love and gratitude we hold for her.
