COLUMBIA – Funeral service for Linda Lee Orton Dempster, 70, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday December 29, 2012 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Irmo/St. Andrews Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pawmetto Lifeline, P.O. Box 1777, Columbia, SC 29202.
Mrs. Dempster was born May 2, 1942 in Peoria, IL and passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2012. She was a daughter of the late Ridly Orton and Dorothy Jones Orton. Mrs. Dempster had a great sense of humor with a unique laugh and was a dog lover. She was a seamstress and worked on pageant dresses. She was a member of Quail Valley Garden Club and was an avid gardener.
She is survived by her son, Brian Dempster of Columbia, SC.
