Lettie Mae Smith

LEXINGTON- Services for Lettie Mae Shull Smith, 91, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 14, 2017 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with interment to follow at Lexington Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Robert L. Jumper Officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial may be made to South Lexington Baptist Church, 116 Brevard Pkwy, Lexington, SC 29073.

Mrs. Smith was born November 13, 1925 in Lexington County. She was a daughter of the late Maxie Lee Shull and Leila Backman Shull. She was a good wife, mother and caregiver. She loved flowers, gardening, and admiring all the beautiful things that the Lord has made. She was a member of South Lexington Baptist Church. She was a textile worker at the Lexington Mill, and later retired from Burlington Industries in Batesburg-Leesville.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughter, Debbie Wynell Goff and loving nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husbands, Clarence Curry Goff and later, William M. Smith; sisters, Annie Louvelia Sturkie, Addie S. Barr and brother, Harold G. Shull.The family would like to give a special thanks to Sandra Barr Chapman, Nancy Shull, Debra O’Neal Oswalt, Susie Warren Maroney and Tidewater Hospice for their love and support.
