Katie Leigh James, 31, of Lexington, South Carolina was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 20, 2022. Born August 26, 1990, she is the daughter of David M. James (Pam) and Wendi Duvall of Lexington, SC.
Katie was a loving mother to her daughter, Sunnie and loved life. She had an infectious smile and bubbly personality. She never met a stranger and had a heart for animals.
Katie is survived by her parents; daughter, Sunnie Leigh; fiancé, Christopher Rogers of Lexington; sisters, Kala Ball (Robert) of Statesville, NC and Kara Cox (Michael) of Andalusia, AL; brother, Justin James of Lexington, SC; stepsisters, Brittany Turner (Brenson) and Megan Young (Carl) of Lexington SC; nephews, Jayden Garcia, Jessie Solloway, Jasper Cox and Johnny Cox; nieces, Madyson Grenz, Destiny Ball, Jayda Ball, and Marley Ball; grandparents, Frank “Dick” James (Betty), Jean Parker and Linda Singley and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Katie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Rona James, Walter Duvall, Jo Parker and John Singley and cousin, Andrew “Drew” Barfield.
Services for Katie will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Green Hill Baptist Church, 1734 Augusta Road, West Columbia, SC. Visitation will follow the service in the church fellowship hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Humane Society, Wounded Warriors or Green Hill Baptist Church in honor of our sweet Katie.
