LEXINGTON – Funeral services for John R. Taylor, 80, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 10, 2017 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, with interment to follow in Celestial Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at the funeral home.
Mr. Taylor was born January 5, 1937 in Lexington County and passed away on Friday, April 7, 2017. He was a son of Claude E. Taylor and Reda Mae Howard Taylor.
Mr. Taylor is survived by his sons, Mike Taylor, Russell Taylor, Chris Taylor and Michael Caudle; daughter, Donna Hyatt; multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Frank H. Taylor, Leonard Taylor and Walter Taylor; and sister, Willie Mae Stratton. He was predeceased by his wife, Betty Taylor, and a son, John R. Taylor, Jr.
