PELION – Jesse Elkainer Sisco, Sr., age 97, of Pelion, SC, entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 24, 2013. Born in Madison County, Alabama, he was the son of the late Edmond Allen and Lula Adair Sisco. He was married 64 years to his sweetheart, the late Mary Alvis Sisco. Mr. Sisco was a member of Columbia First Church of the Nazarene and was retired as a machinist with the Charleston Naval Shipyard.
Surviving are his children, Jesse E. (Bette) Sisco, Jr. of Snellville, GA; James L. (Barbara) Sisco of Cottageville, SC; Jerry R. (Sue) Sisco of Evans, GA and Jema S. Durham of Pelion, SC; 8 granddaughters; 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
The family wishes to extend their special thanks to Agape Senior Care and Agape Hospice for their love and care.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at 2:00 pm at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Irmo/St. Andrews Chapel, with burial to follow in Bush River Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
