PELION - Jake Austin Paul of Pelion, South Carolina passed over on Monday, February 20, 2017 at home due to congestive heart failure. Jake was 20 years of age. He was born on September 30, 1996 in Lexington, South Carolina. He attended Pelion Elementary School, Pelion Middle School and graduated from Pelion High School in 2014. Jake dedicated himself to living every day to the fullest. His passion for the outdoors is what kept his mood positive and his mind at peace. He was a loving, compassionate and kind spirit. Jake has been an inspiration to so many people while on his journey through this life. Jake held a higher perspective than most about life, giving him the ability to inspire and lift up those around him. He was intelligent, intuitive and talented, a true entrepreneur with many ideas for contributing to the community. To be so young he was very wise, as if he had an old soul. His smile was so contagious, and he shared it often with everyone he came in contact with. Jake's appreciation and love of nature was easily recognized by all. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and guide, loving every moment he was able to spend outdoors. Jake comes from a strong family of many talents, trades, abilities and unique perspectives. When it came to catching fish, Jake had become one of the most well-known fishermen around. Jake will be greatly missed by so many. Jake is survived by his mother, Larenda Tindal Paul, his older brother, John S. Paul (Heather); sister, Whitney C. Paul; grandma, Brenda Tindal Henzler all of Pelion, SC and his granny, Willie DeLorees Mock of Eastover, SC. He was predeceased by his father, “Mush” Percy B. Paul Jr. Granddaddy, Bobby Gene Tindal of Pelion, SC, his Papa, James Mock of Eastover, SC. Jake will be missed dearly by his cousins, Everick and Skyler Tindal, Ted, Destiny and Bree Derrick of Pelion, SC., Kylie, Cody and Cooper Tindal of Riley, KS, Leaving behind also, his lifelong best friend Andy Seay of Wagner, SC whom he loved and called a brother.
