Iris was predeceased by her mother, Annie Lou Leonard and her father, James Harold Leonard of Greer, SC. She is survived by one daughter, Jamie Dobbins Miller (David Miller, II) of Rockwall, TX; two grandsons, David Miller, III and James Miller of Rockwall, TX and one sister, Jimmie L. Davis (Rev. Sam Davis) of Spartanburg, SC. Iris was also survived by a niece, Ginger Parks (Derek); one nephew, Jordan Davis (Stacy) and seven great nieces and nephews. Iris was also survived by many friends who were like family to her, Shirley Townsend and Luther Thompson, Dr. Larry Lough and Katy Lough, Sarah Stansill (Iris’ Goddaughter), Angela Clark and Mary Frances Fitzpatrick “Babe”.
Iris taught Radiologic Technology at Palmetto Health-Baptist Hospital in Columbia for many years. Iris’s hobbies were hunting, fishing, and gardening.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
