She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Allen Turbeville and Ophelia Buddin Turbeville; her three brothers and her son, Spencer L. Cooper, Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Spencer “Lindsey” Cooper; her daughters, Cindy Koehler (Kirk), Kim Dotson; grandchildren, Kerstyn K. Adcox, Kincaid Koehler, Leta Dotson, Cooper Dotson and great granddaughter, Kirklyn “Beanie” Adcox.
Georgia was born in Sumter, SC and grew up in Winnsboro, SC. She began a career at the Palmetto Club of Columbia, SC in 1962. She served the membership of the Palmetto Club faithfully for over 50 years. She was active alongside her husband with the Jamil Temple Shriners for many years. She was also a member of the Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile. Georgia loved her family, friends, NASCAR and Clemson football.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, August 19, 2022 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, with interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
