Our beautiful and precious Ezra Angelo Lee, born February 20th 2023 in Columbia, S.C., drifted off to sleep and woke up in the arms of Jesus on the morning of July 7th, 2023. Though we only had four short months with sweet Ezra, they were four of the most beautiful and joyful months of our lives and we will cherish every moment we had with him until we’re reunited with him and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, in Heaven.
Though this is the most tragic, painful trial we have ever endured and we feel as if we’re in the deepest and darkest valley, God is carrying us and using this tragic loss to bring so much beauty and marvelous blessings by showing us and others that even in our deepest sorrows, He has a plan and purpose. Sweet Ezra’s four short months this side of Heaven serve a purpose that is God’s perfect will.
Ezra was perfect in every way from the day we were blessed with him. He had the most beautiful blue eyes, his smile was pure joy, he was always happy, and he had such a calming nature. His name, Erza, means help in Hebrew, Angelo means messenger of God. His purpose and short time here are all a part of God’s perfect plan and we know that the pain and anguish serves a purpose ordained by God, to lead others to Christ. We started seeing God's perfect will for Ezra’s brief life from the day we lost him and the beautiful things God has shown us on this side of Heaven, in the depths of our pain and suffering, is just a glimpse of the Glory that’s yet to come.
Ezra is survived by his mother, Sydney Haven Lee; brother, Sullivan Emlyn Weakley of Lexington; father, Jordan Storm Pierson of Lugoff; maternal grandmother, Christy Lee Baker of Lexington; uncle, Devin Feaster; paternal grandparents, Glen and Angie Pierson of Lugoff; paternal great grandmother Doris Beard; uncles, Skyler, Tristan, Kristopher Roberts and Jakob Roberts; aunts, Bri Drummond of Gaston and Jade Nicole Cade Owens of West Columbia; and cousins, Jasper and Delia Roberts. He is also survived by many loving Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.
Romans 8:18 NKJV
