Erika Elisabeth Yaman

Erika Elisabeth Yaman, 45, of Columbia, South Carolina passed away on July 7, 2023. Erika was born in St. Louis, Missouri on May 28, 1978. She was the daughter of Dr. Robert E. Hooper and Teresa McCarty Hooper.

Erika spent her early childhood in Georgia and most of her life in Lexington, South Carolina. She attended Lexington High School, Lander University, and graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in nursing. Erika served as a talented, dedicated, and compassionate nurse for over a decade.

Erika attended Lexington Presbyterian Church for most of her life. She was a passionate homecook and turned that passion into a small business, cultivating a dedicated following and educating others on how to make healthy family meals.

Erika loved and felt most at peace when at the beach and she enjoyed many happy memories with her family in Jacksonville, Isle of Palms, Cape San Blas, and Ocean Isle.

She is survived by her husband, Jason; her children Jackson, Caroline, and Andrew; her parents; and her brother Matthew and his family.

A visitation for Erika will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel located at 503 North Lake Drive, Lexington, SC 29072. A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.
