Elaine Trakas Jameson

Elaine was a cherished member of Mount Horeb Church in Lexington. She enjoyed music, playing cards, dancing, and bingo. Her warmth and compassion touched everyone she met, and she treasured every moment spent with her family. Proud of her Greek heritage, Elaine owned and operated "The Greek" restaurant in Greenwood. Elaine adored her family and had a deep love for the Lord.

She has many grandchildren in Texas and Lexington. Among them, Zan and Zoe Trinkner shared an especially close bond with her, having spent a lot of time together.

Elaine is survived by her six children: Jennifer Trinkner, Terresa Ashley Healer, Carol Ann Head, M’Lisa Morrison, Marion Lloyd Ashley, Jr., and Michael Ray Crossland. She is also survived by her sisters: Lisa Trakas Britt, Deborah Trakas Edwards, and Cheri Trakas Midulla.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Porta Trakas, and her sister, Cathy Trakas Murphy.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Elaine’s life on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home-Lexington Chapel, 503 North Lake Drive, Lexington, SC 29072. The graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at 3:00 PM at Edgewood Cemetery, 722 Grace Street, Greenwood, SC 29649.
