Edna Jones Middlebrooks

IRMO – A memorial service for Edna Jones Middlebrooks, 78, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 12, 2017 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, 7600 Woodrow St, Irmo, SC 29063 with inurnment in Bush River Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060-9979.

Mrs. Middlebrooks was born September 18, 1938 in Augusta, GA and passed away Friday, May 5, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Jesse McCullah Jones and Elsie Morrow Jones, and the wife of John Middlebrooks, Sr. She was a long time member of the United Methodist Church and retired from the State Mental Health Department. She loved quilting and sewing.

She is survived by her two sons, John M. Middlebrooks, Jr. and Jeffery M. Middlebrooks (Kristen); daughter-in-law, Angie Middlebrooks, the wife of the late James Middlebrooks; grandchildren, Joshua, Jason, Miles, Erin and Zack; great-grandchild, Olivia, and sister, Alison Davidow. She was predeceased by her son, James Middlebrooks and brother, Jesse Jones.
