COLUMBIA – A graveside service for Donald Cary Gill, 48, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. Gill was born May 4, 1964 in Charleston, SC and passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2012 from combat related injuries. He was a son of Russell Gill and the late Mary Frances Clements Gill. He served in Desert Storm with the United States Army Field Artillary. Mr. Gill loved bowling and billiards and loved to sing and dance. He was very active in Martial Arts (Judo) and drove a military truck all the way across the desert.
Mr. Gill is survived by his father, Russell Gill; step mother, Sadie Ruth Benton Gill; step brothers, Rocky Brian Cattles and James Edward Brenton and step sister, Teresa Lyn Looper.
