IRMO – Delmar Ray Lampert, 56, passed away on Monday September 2, 2013. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
He was born November 12, 1956 in Fort Benning, GA. This very loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, exuded enthusiasm for Harleys and scuba diving. One of his many passions was performing charity work for the Carolina Sunshine House for Children and providing donations to SisterCare. He was a member and trustee with Shady Grove United Methodist Church where he volunteered many hours. His creativity led to one of a kind masterpieces as shown throughout his home and countless other places including glass, metal, stone, and wood work.
Mr. Lampert is survived by his wife, Lesley M. Lampert of Irmo; daughter, Brandy Lampert; and granddaughter, Caydence Whitworth both of Asheville, NC; sisters Diane (Rick) Woodle of Gilbert, Sheila (Donny) Thompson of West Columbia; brothers, Lloyd (Donna) Chapman of Gilbert, Leo (Wanda) Lampert Jr. of Lugoff; sisters-in-law Melanie Mixon of Hilton Head, Faune (Glenn) Quinton of Inman, numerous special nieces and nephews and his “much loved girls” Lucy and Cheyenne. Memorials may be made to Shady Grove United Methodist Church 1918 Shady Grove Rd., Irmo SC 29063 Elmwood Funeral and Cremations Service is assisting the family with arrangements.
