David William Zeagler

David W. Zeagler, age 41, of Lexington, SC, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 12, 2024, at St. Stephen’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.

David was born on January 27, 1983, in Columbia, SC, to the late David L. Zeagler and Debbie Zeagler. He was a graduate of Brookland-Cayce High School, Class of 2001, and attended Midlands Technical College. In 2005, David began his career in real estate specializing in residential home building and became a top producing sales manager in the Columbia area. For the last 12 years, he served as the Director of Sales for Coldwell Banker representing Great Southern Homes, earning numerous awards and designations from the Central Carolina Realtors Association and Building Industry Association including Diamond Level Citation for Sales Management and Affiliate of the Year for 2023. While David’s passion, wisdom, and expertise in the real estate industry were unparalleled, his greatest accomplishment was the profound love and admiration he held for his team of agents.

Affectionately known as “DZ,” David was one of a kind. His generous spirit and willingness to help others knew no bounds, often putting others’ needs before his own. He had a contagious sense of humor and a unique way with words that could always bring a smile to your face. David’s vibrant personality lit up every room he entered.

David cherished his friends and family above all else. He was a devoted fan of the Carolina Gamecocks and had a deep love for drag racing. In heaven, he will continue to cheer for the Gamecocks and his Black Gold racing team.

David is survived by his mother, Debbie Zeagler; his sister and her husband, Kellie (Jamie) Reaves; his precious niece, Ainsley Reaves; his best friend and love, Laura Whitehead; and a host of friends and colleagues who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his father, David L. Zeagler.
