On November 19, 1957, in the charming city of Savannah, Georgia, David L. Zeagler came into this world. Tragically, on November 2, 2023, he peacefully passed away at his residence in Lexington, South Carolina.
David was the beloved son of the late Ira Zeagler and Nettie Mae Zeagler, both hailing from Beaufort, SC. He was preceded in death by his dear brother, Leonard Zeagler, also from Beaufort, and his sister, Gracie Elizabeth Zeagler Faust, who resided in Savannah, GA. Left to cherish his memory are his loving son, David W. Zeagler, his stepdaughter, Kellie Reaves, and his brother, Ralph Zeagler, all residing in Lexington, SC.
Growing up in Beaufort, David and his brother Ralph embarked on a new chapter in their lives when they moved to Columbia. It was during this time that David discovered his lifelong passion for the automotive industry, ultimately becoming a highly skilled mechanic. Renowned for his exceptional automotive expertise, he was regarded as one of the finest minds in the field. David's heart raced for hot rods, fast cars, and the exhilarating world of drag racing. Known for his unwavering willingness to lend a helping hand, he will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
To honor David's life, a visitation will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, allowing his loved ones to come together and pay tribute to the remarkable person he was.
