LEXINGTON—Danny Robert Barr, 50, joined his Goddess on June 9, 2013. A decorated Army veteran, he was always at peace with the wolves. While at times he was the Alpha, there were others when he was just part of the pack. While never being held captive by life’s boundaries he chose instead to exceed the limits. With a sly smile and a slow thoughtful opinion he was most often heard offering, “Blessed be.” Continually driving his younger brothers with gentle and sometimes hard pushes to encourage them not to accept mediocrity, but strive for greatness, he left an indelible mark. A devout Gamecock fan he was also a fan of the incendiary arts. He is survived by his two children Alexander and Kristina Barr; stepson Westley Wooten; mother Marianne Troutman; brothers Jimmy Barr, Johnny Pintze, and Omar Troutman; nephews Cullen and Max; and his fiancée Amy Hale. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
