Constance (Connie) Larkin, age 91, a long-time resident of King St. in Lexington, died peacefully on June 29th after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.
Connie worked in administration over 40 years at Southern Railway/Norfolk Southern Railway in Atlanta and then Dorchester, SC. She then retired to Lexington where she drove her golf cart down to work 5 years as a crossing guard for Lexington Elementary School, where she really enjoyed helping the children cross the street, even dressing up as a witch for Halloween.
Connie is survived by her brother, Steve Larkin and 4 children: daughter, Catherine Foxe of Lexington; daughter, Robin and husband, Steve Kuhn of Silverton, Oregon; son, Christopher Ranck of Bend, Oregon; daughter, Leslie and husband, Tom Troup of Lewes, Delaware; as well as 6 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
