Clarence B. Chapman

LEXINGTON – A memorial service for Clarence “Chuck” Brockington Chapman, 76, will be held at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Oliver Gospel Mission, P.O. Box 7791, Columbia, SC 29202 or Palmetto Health Foundation, P.O. Chuck was born January 13, 1938 in Cheraw, SC and passed away on Friday, July 11, 2014. He was a son of the late Monroe Chapman and Gertrude Eveleigh Chapman. He retired from Richland Memorial Hospital Administration after 30 years of service. He was a loving grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Surviving are his wife, Brenda Stevenson Chapman of Lexington; sons, Chris Chapman (Ruth) and Phillip Chapman (Cindy); daughter, Susan Chapman Watkins (Clay) all of Lexington; grandchildren, Christine, Patrick and Tucker Chapman, Claire and Gracen Watkins; sister, Dorothy Shepherd of West Columbia, Betty Lou West (Bill) of Moncks Corner; brother, Leon Chapman (Mary Edna) of Society Hill, Walter Chapman (Mary) of Sparta, NC and sister-in-law, Jackie Chapman of Society Hill. Also, beloved dog, Cooper and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Howard Chapman.
