He was loved and cherished by many people including his wife, Karen Kay Lawrence of the residence; his son, Robert Lawrence and wife, Robbin Lawrence of Evington, Virginia; his grandchildren, Whitney Wagman and husband, Brandon, and Courtney Wilson of Hurt, Virginia; his great-grandchild, Peighton Simson of Hurt, Virginia, and his loving pet, China. He is also survived by one sister, Nancy Hall of Columbia, South Carolina, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Charlie (Wayne) was predeceased by his father, Charlie Samuel Lawrence; mother, Cordie Fuller Lawrence; brothers, Bobby E. Lawrence, Dr. Lloyd S. Lawrence and Paul (Pete) Lawrence; and sisters, Hazel Iliene Hite, Lucille L. Gravely and Edna L. Rakes.
Charlie (Wayne to all his family and friends) was a navy veteran and proudly served along with three of his other brothers. Two in the Navy and one in the Army.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday January 13, 2024 at Caughman Harman Funeral Home - Lexington Chapel, 503 North Lake Drive, Lexington, SC 29072. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service in the chapel.
