LEXINGTON – Funeral services for Charles W. Webb, 75, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at St. James Lutheran Church with interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Oliver Gospel Mission, P.O. Box 7791, Columbia, SC 29202.
Mr. Webb was born November 4, 1937 in Portland, ME and passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2013. He was a son of the late Samuel W. Webb and Vera Wilkins Harris. Mr. Webb was a member of St. James Lutheran Church. He retired from the United States Air Force and also from the State of South Carolina, Budget and Control Board.
He is survived by his wife, Iris Roland Webb; daughters, Melissa Standridge and Susan Atkins both of Lexington; four grandchildren, Cory Standridge, Kirsten Eblin, Jessica Atkins and Gregory Atkins; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; brother, Sam Webb; three sisters, Shirley Loomis, Sharon Stockdale and Carolyn Webb.
