Charles Roland

MANNING – Funeral services for Charles H. Roland, 74, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 2, 2013 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with interment in Southland Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matthew Thompson, Paul Wilson, Weldon Gregory, Scott Hall, Justin Byars and Carl Derrick. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Mr. Roland was born November 27, 1939 in Lexington, SC and passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2013. He was a son of the late Willard Roland and Eva Sharpe Roland. He was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church. Mr. Roland served his country in the United States Navy. He retired from the County Parks and Recreation Department.

Surviving are his wife, Cuba Roland; daughter, Tammy (Weldone) Gregory; grandchildren, Tiffany and Matthew Thompson, Brittany Edwards and Paul Wilson; great-grandchildren, Jordyn Edwards and Harper Thompson; son, Darrell (Sylvia) Roland; grandchildren, Shawn (Dayna) Roland and Tamra Roland; 4 great-grandchildren, Lauryn, Jacob, Abby and Brylnee Roland; brothers, Steven and Paul Roland and sister, Dorothy Byars. He was predeceased by his brothers, Dansiel, Baron, Johnny and Phil Roland and sister, Evon Roland.
