Charles Douglas Gibson Jr., 73, was born September 4, 1948 and passed away on March 5, 2022. Known to all as “Doug”, he was born in Tifton, Georgia. Doug was a Vietnam Veteran that loved his country. He was a big Clemson fan, loved to play golf, and loved his five grandchildren so much.
He is survived by his two children, Ryan Gibson (Melissa), Erin Kircher (Brandon) and his five grandchildren: Dailie, Oliver, Harris, Lucy and Jordan. In addition to his children and grandchildren, Doug is survived by his mother, Marjorie Gibson; siblings, Marsha Miller, Mike Gibson (Cherie), as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his wife, Julia J. Gibson and his father, Charles D. Gibson, Sr.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home – Lexington Chapel.
