Bobby was born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina. He graduated from Columbia High School and then proudly served in the United States Army. Following his military service, he graduated from his beloved University of South Carolina with a Bachelor’s degree. He joined the golf team at USC and was a natural; his golf roots started there and blossomed into a lifetime career.
Bobby was a successful PGA Professional and golf course owner who was the 2018 inductee of the Carolinas Section PGA Hall of Fame. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Lexington.
He is survived by his wife, Janis Howard; daughter, Jennifer (Bruce); son, Bradley Howard (Shanon); daughter, Michelle Nauenberg (Eric) and daughter, Angela Carter (John); grandchildren, Zachary Howard, Branon Howard, Chaya Akhavi, Benjamin Carter, Henry Carter, Samuel Carter and Asher Nauenberg and last but not least, his constant companion Molly Lynne Howard, his furry four-legged pal.
He was predeceased by his parents, G. A. and Rebecca Teague Howard.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, with a reception following the service.
