Becky Ann (Halpin) Melton

Becky was born February 15, 1968 in Seoul, S. Korea to Myong Hui and Phillip Marvin Halpin. Becky graduated Richland Northeast High School in Columbia, South Carolina, spring of 1986, and married husband, William M. Melton the same year. The two were each other’s lifelong companions and friends who were married 35 years at the time of her passing. They were blessed with three children: Michael, Kimberly, and Christopher.

Professionally, she worked in the medical administration field, and notably her last project was serving as the project manager for the installation and launch of a multi branched patient information system used in the Lexington area’s predominate hospital and care network. Her hobbies included gardening and cross-stitching, both since her childhood.

Becky is survived by her husband, William; children, Michael Melton (Elizabeth), Kimberly Melton, Christopher Melton; grandchild, Camden Melton; brother, Butch Halpin; grandparents, Billy and Linda Melton, and many close friends.

Becky will especially be remembered by the unmeasurable depth of compassion she had for all. She ensured that everyone around her knew how deeply they were loved.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
