Lewiston - Shelley J. Wilson, 55, of Auburn passed away unexpectedly on November 9, 2010 at Central Maine Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born August 30, 1955 a daughter of Raymond and Louise (Laughton) Kates as the youngest girl of eight children. She attended local schools graduating from Edward Little High School in the class of 1973. She then went on to further her education receiving her degree in Applied Science/Respiratory from Southern Maine Community College. She had been in the respiratory field since 1976, and was most recently employed as an outpatient respiratory therapist in the Pulmonology Department at Southern Maine Medical Center. She is survived by her beloved son Matthew and his girlfriend Chantel Scott; four sisters: Sharon Dufresne, Sheila Blanchette, Sherilyn Moulton and Sherry Kates; two brothers: Rodney and Rickey Kates, as well as many nieces and nephews who knew her as Aunt Dewey, and many close friends. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her older brother Ralph Kates.
Visitation to be held Friday at Fortin/Auburn on Friday from 4 PM to 7 PM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 AM at the Funeral Home. Private Committal services will be held at a future date at Gracelawn Memorial Park.
