Rowena was a special lady and so very kind to me as a youth.  I spent countless hours with Dana at the Nickless home on 4th street.  Dana was a great friend and I enjoyed the time spent with him immensely. Sadly for me Dana chose to attend Glen Cove for a time and we missed out on some fun.  Rowena was a lunch lady with an outstanding crew of colleagues at our high school.  So even with Dana gone, I could keep in touch through Rowena. I also had the privilege of working with her at the Laverdiere's store in Mexico .  My first memory was from the 1st Baptist church when I was very young.   Rowena and Laura Jamison had such bright white hair and stood for their enthusiasm with us kids.  I had not seen her in awhile, although I tried to find her at Tall Pines housing.  I thank God for the time I spent at the Nickless home and the hospitality and cherished memories.  Hope to see you again!
