LEWISTON- Roland P. Mathurin, 82, of Lewiston, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023 with his loving wife Connie by his side. He was born in Auburn, Maine on December 4, 1940, the son of Leon Mathurin and Lucienne (Pelletier) Mathurin.
He graduated from Edward Little High School in 1960. He was a proud member of the ELHS marching band for 4 years, playing the saxophone. Music was his passion and he loved to dance. He had a vast collection of albums and cd’s that spanned generations. He also enjoyed woodworking and was a loyal Red Sox fan.
On June 26, 1965, at Holy Cross Church in Lewiston, he married the love of his life, Connie Ward. They moved to Massachusetts, where they resided for 48 years. While in Massachusetts, he worked at Polaroid Corporation, and MIT. They returned to Maine in 2017 to be closer to family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Connie, of 58 years; his sister Annette Walker and husband Jim of Needville, TX; along with a large extended family, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service honoring Roland’s life that will be celebrated on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 10:00 AM in the Chapman Room at Gracelawn Memorial Park in Auburn, Maine.
