He was born in Lewiston on July 29, 1938. The son of Adolphe and Alice Cote, Robert lived a life of dedication, love, and service to his family and friends.
Robert married the love of his life, Lorraine Morin, May 31,1950 they were married for 30 years.
Robert dedicated 26 years of his career as an outside machinist at Bath Iron Works, where he was known for his skill and work ethic. He was a devoted member of the Knights of Columbus, a 4th degree Knight, giving generously of his time and energy to help others.
He had a vibrant presence in the community, known for his frequent visits to social clubs where he shared stories and laughter with his friends.
Robert’s legacy of kindness, dedication, and love will live on through his family and all who knew him. He will be remembered for his warm smile, hard-working spirit, and the deep love he had for his family and friends.
Surviving are his beloved sons and their spouses, Ricky Cote (Joann) and Rodney Cote (Kateryna). He cherished his grandchildren, Jennifer Adams, Amanda Cote, Amber Labonte, Alyssa Brown, and Nathan Cote, and was blessed with nine great-grandchildren who brought him endless joy. He shared an unwavering bond with his beloved pug, Charlie, who was not just a pet but a constant source of love, comfort, and companionship. He is survived by one sibling Jean Paul Cote.
He was predeceased by his parents and siblings: Adrian Cote, Normand Cote, Jean Louise Cote, Theresa Cote, and Priscilla Dubois.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Robert’s memory to the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society 55 Strawberry Ave., Lewiston, Maine 04240.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2024 from 7-9 PM at The Fortin & Pinette Group 305 Alfred A. Plourde Parkway in Lewiston, 784-4023.
Funeral Services honoring Robert’s life will celebrated on Monday, December 23, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Church.
Committal prayers will then follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather in celebration of Robert’s life.
