In Loving Memory of Rick
It is with complete devastation that we announce the sudden passing of Richard Libby, a cherished husband, father, son, brother, uncle, friend and a remarkable individual whose quirky spirit touched the lives of many.
Rick thrived in his professional life, dedicating himself to employee training and development at TD Bank. His commitment to fostering growth in others reflected his genuine care for those around him. Rick's impact extended beyond the workplace, as he generously shared his knowledge about various subjects, demonstrating an insatiable curiosity for all things tech, weather, aviation, government, and so much more.
Outside of his career, Rick reveled in the simple pleasures that brought him endless happiness. Whether it was grilling the perfect steak (and posting about it online), learning the ins and outs of flying his drone, going on a joyride in the GTI with his wife Andrea, or nurturing his role as a devoted "fish daddy," Rick approached life with a reserved yet adventurous spirit. His passion for building computers showcased his love for tech and love for innovation.
Yet, above all these interests, Rick's greatest joy was being an extraordinary Dada to his beloved daughter, Dorothy, and a devoted husband to Andrea. Their bond was a testament to the depth of Rick's love and the warmth he brought to the lives of those closest to him.
In celebrating Rick's life, let us remember the laughter he shared, the knowledge he imparted, and the love that defined him. May his memory live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know this exceptional man.
Rick is survived by his wife Andrea Libby of Lewiston, daughter Dorothy, father Ken Libby of Lewiston, mother and step-father Donna and Tim Gallant of Lewiston, brother Timothy Libby of Litchfield, brother Matthew Libby and wife Tiffany Libby of Readfield, bonus siblings in his life Angela Gallant, Shebly Jodrey, David Crutchfield, Donna Pozzi, and Cynthia Elliot, mother and father in law Dan and Jamie Bosse of Lewiston, sister in law Abby Dix of Lewiston, nieces Genevieve and Grace, nephews Elijah, Isaiah, James, Liam, and Gabriel, grandmothers Jean Gotimer and Cleo Bosse, and so many loving and supportive aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
There’s peace in knowing Rick is guided in his next journey by his maternal grandfather Don Gotimer, paternal grandparents Kenneth Sr and Florence Libby, grandmother Jane Derr, sister in law Emily Libby, brother in law Jeremy Dix, nephew Jeremiah Libby, uncle Mike Brochu, pets Daisy, Shenzi, and Sedaka, and friends Nick Pilote and Matt Theberge who are no doubt causing shenanigans together again.
As we say our goodbyes to Rick, may his spirit continue to warm our hearts, and may the memories we share bring comfort during these days.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, November 29th at 11am at Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home, where we will come together and share in our memories and love for Rick. There will also be a visitation at Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 28th from 3-6PM.
