Sabattus- Richard "Dick" Bellefleur Sr. 75, of Phelan St. Sabattus died unexpectedly, Thursday June 30, 2011 at his home. He was born in St. Agatha, ME on September 22, 1935 a son of the late Octave and Margerite (Dumont) Bellefleur, of Frenchville, ME. Growing up as a young boy he worked the potato fields helping support his family of 6 brothers and 7 sisters. He later moved to Lewiston and married the love of his life Donna Labbe and together they raised 3 children. He was employed at BIW as a welder and Airco Repair. After he retired he worked at AD Electric and L. P. Poirier & Son. He was a hard worker and was always there to lend a helping hand to anybody in need. He was our jack of all trades. God must have needed something fixed in heaven and that's why he called on our dad. He lived a good life while on this earth, filled with love & laughter. Dick was a pilgrim of St. Anne de Beaupre making this trip yearly with his family. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, traveling, working outdoors and spending time with his family, especially his Great Grand Son Kaydo. Dick was an awesome husband, father, father in law, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. And we were truly blessed to have had him in our lives. He will be missed dearly by all those who knew and loved him. He leaves his wife of 56 years Donna Bellefleur of Sabattus, two daughters Gail Gagne and her husband Leo of Greene and Donna Jean Bellefleur of Sabattus, a son Richard "Rick" Bellefleur Jr. of Sabattus, 3 sisters Lillian Saucier, Doris Bouchard, and Leona Carrier and her husband Larry, 3 brothers Raymond, Gilman and Gilbert Bellefleur and his wife Doris, 2 grandchildren Heather Thurlow and Amber Derbyshire and her husband Mike, a great grandson Kaydo Pepin, 2 step grandchildren Lisa and Jeff Gagne and 6 step grandchildren: Desmond, Kaylee, Cole, Damion, Dasean and Dayton. He was predeceased by 2 sisters, Rita Flemming and Melda Wilicka and 3 brothers, Max, Ronald and Bill.
