She was predeceased by her mother Alpheda Lavigne who passed away in 1996, her father Reno Lavigne who passed away in 1959, her husband Leo Morin who was the love of her life and who passed away in 1989, two sisters, Janine and Muriel who passed away at very young ages, and two bothers Gerald and Richard Lavigne.
She is survived by 8 sisters, Lorraine Latulippe, Merine Bolduc, Janet Cather, Joanne Balazs, Nancy Smith, Irene Good, Diane Morin, and Pauline Kelley, 2 brothers, Robert and Daniel Lavigne, and numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
Some of her passions were roller skating, being a baseball enthusiast, enjoying various board and card games, and the challenge of assembling puzzles. She loved picking Maine Wild Blueberries and made excellent blueberry pies. She nurtured family and friends without hesitance. Rena enjoyed working and was employed as a Bank Teller, the Lewiston School Administration Office, Bourque’s Supermarket, a clothing Store, as well as, holding odd jobs helping siblings run motels in the Wells/Ogunquit area.
A memorial service will be held at 11am Saturday June 8, 2024 at St Peter’s Basilica in Lewiston. It will be followed by a brief ceremony at St Peter’s Cemetery where her ashes will be interned.
Rena will forever be remembered in all our hearts and our spirits.
