

She was born in Lewiston, July 10, 1925 the daughter of Theodule and Bernadette (Deblois) Brissette. On September 25, 1948, she married Marcel Henry Picard. Muriel worked in the local shoe industry, and Raytheon’s but most of her life was dedicated to being a home-maker, mother, and grandmother. Muriel was memere to 12 grandchildren as well as many family friends who considered her their memere. She was grand-memere to 24 great-grandchildren. She loved shopping and going to garage sales as well as spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful story-teller, and was known to her grandchildren for her famous chocolate velvets, and her backrubs. Survivors include a brother, Joe Brissette, three daughters, Joanne Langlois and husband, Marcel, Susan Rouleau, Jacqueline Pare and husband Rejean; 12 grandchildren; Michael Langlois and Krissy, Scott Langlois and Julie Daniels, Jim Langlois, Bob Langlois and Jolene, David Langlois and Leanne, Tom Langlois and Erica, Todd Gendron, John Gendron and Rachel, Tracy Turner and Mark, Nathan Pare and Kristina, Jennifer Pare and Alex Pare; 24 great grandchildren; as well as 3 sister in laws, Simone and Jolene Brissette as well as Cecile Picard and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband Marcel, she was predeceased by a granddaughter in law, Kylee Gendron, son-in-law George Rouleau, two brothers, Raymond and Bob Brissette, two sisters, Simone Picard and Tony Berube as well as granddaughter, Lynn and great grandson Colby. The family would like to thank all the staff on 4-East at d’Youville Pavilion and all her physicians, but especially Dr. Pandey for her wonderful care. A Mass of Christian Burial honoring Muriel’s life will be celebrated FRIDAY 11:00AM at the Basilica of Sts. Peter & Paul. Committal prayers to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
