She was born in Lewiston on May 8th, 1938, the daughter of the late, Jeannette and Valmont LeBlanc.
Lorraine graduated from St. Dominic High School in 1956 On May 3rd, 1958, she married the love of her life, Paul Guay. She was a devout Catholic attending Mass at Holy Cross Church where Paul & Lorraine made their home in the Holy Cross Parish area.
She welcomed family and friends to her treasured home on Webber Avenue throughout the Holidays and summer months. She loved to bake cookies, pies, cakes and cook homemade meals for her family. Her home was open for visits from family and friends during the Holidays, offering homemade chocolates, fudge, pies, and Holiday appetizers. During summer months, she hosted several lobster bakes and barbeques for her family. She was incredibly happy managing her home, children’s school activities and sporting events. Some of her favorite recipes were chocolate chip cookies, cakes, maple and peanut butter chocolates. In 1973, she became a cook and baker at Lewiston High School on East Avenue. She enjoyed the work in the newly built building including state of the art kitchen at LHS.
Lorraine is survived by her four children, Daniel and wife Laura of Green. Susan and husband Michael, of Auburn, Denise and husband Jassim of Michigan, Jeffrey and companion Stacey of Lewiston; her brother, Don and Muriel LeBlanc of Texas. Eight grandchildren, Greg, Tom, Joel, Ashley, Aimon, Zaid, Sarah, Jenan, and great grandchildren, Levi, Perla, Lennon, Owen, Nathan and Aliah. She was predeceased, by her husband Paul Guay, grandson, Ryan Guay and her parents Jeannette and Valmont LeBlanc.
Funeral Services honoring Lorraine's life will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Church. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 24, 2025 from 4-7 PM at The Fortin & Pinette Group 305 Alfred A. Plourde Parkway in Lewiston, 784-4023.
