AUBURN - Lillian M. Cote, 94, a resident of 200 Stetson Rd., Auburn formerly of Lewiston, died Wednesday at Schooner Estates Residential Care following a short illness with her family by her side.She was born in St. David, July 20, 1915, the daughter of Thomas and Delphine (Cyr) Cote.Lillian was employed in both the local shoe and textile industry most of her life. She was an avid volunteer in her active years in the social and spiritual community of her church.She was a skilled seamstress and enjoyed making most of her own clothes.She was predeceased by three brothers, Edward, O'Neil, and Walter Cote.Survivors include two nieces, Marie Snow and husband, Roger of Yarmouth and Frances Theberge and husband, Paul of Ft. Myers, FL; one nephew, Walter J. Cote and wife Doris of Port Charlotte, FL. Also surviving are several great and great great nieces and nephews.The family of Lil thanks the staff at Schooner Estates Res Care for their love and compassion during the last years of her life.COTE died in Auburn, March 24, 2010, Lillian M. Cote age 94 years formerly of Lewiston.A Mass of Christian burial honoring Lillian's life will be celebrated MONDAY 11:00AM at the Basilica of Sts. Peter and Paul of the Prince of Peace Parish.
