Jeannine Doris Vachon

Lewiston – Jeannine D. Vachon, 91, passed away on April 27, 2024 at Marshwood Nursing Home. She was a devoted daughter, sister, and doting Aunt to all her nephews and nieces. She was born on June 16, 1932 to Emile and Corinne Vachon.

She attended Lewiston schools and obtained her GED in 1981, but she stated her proudest accomplishments was being able to take care of both her parents at home, so they would not need to go to a nursing home. She worked in local textile mills most of her life, and retired from Geiger Brothers Company. She enjoyed going to the restaurant, OOB, playing pool and yodeling. She was a member of Holy Family Church.

She was predeceased by her parents; sisters Lorraine Baril and Ruth R. Vachon both of Lewiston; brothers Lucien Real Vachon of Maryland and Robert Vachon of Florida. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nephews, and great nieces.

The family invites you to a time of visitation on Thursday May 2nd from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Fortin Groups newest location Pinette Dillingham & Lynch at 305 Alfred Plourde Parkway, Lewiston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on May 3rd at 11:00 am at Holy Family Church, 607 Sabattus St. Lewiston immediately followed by a committal service at St. Peter's Cemetery.
