Jean co-owned and operated Imperial Flooring for 29 years before his retirement servicing many families in the community and making many friends along the way. Once he arrived in the US he worked with the carpenters union, practiced carpentry himself, even after his retirement from Imperial flooring he would continue onto jobs assisting his son Daniel on his flooring jobs.
Jean loved horse racing and even owned several horses with his brother Gaetan. He loved to fish, hunt and have Barbecue’s with his family and friends always cooking up a feast. In the winter time, every time there was a storm, he would cook up his famous “fish chowder” that everyone looked forward to. Most of his nieces and nephews to this day would tell you he was the best Uncle around, always spending time with them and keeping them involved. But Jean’s true love where his 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He never missed a sporting event, dance recital, or school event that they were involved in. They were his pride and joy. He always looked forward to returning to Canada to visit with his family.
