Jacob was born on June 8, 2001 in Augusta. He was literally a daredevil from birth and was always willing to go first. He was extremely athletic and participated in football, basketball, and softball. He graduated in 2020 from Edward Little High School. From there he went to work at UPS as a package handler and reached his goal to become a driver. He really enjoyed his time at UPS.
He had a heart of gold. He would give his last dollar to anyone, give the shirt of his back and go without to do that. To know Jake is to love Jake. He loved to dirt bike especially ai RJ Nichols field. The stories from there are amazing. His love for Honda’s was known by all. He loved to fix them up , modifying them, and making it on his own. Everyone knew Jake was coming by the sound of his Honda. He participated in the tag team race at Oxford Plains Speedway with Tyler Jalbert and they won 3rd place. That trophy made him so happy. He started playing football when he was five. Staring with flag football, through the Recreation dept.’s into high school. Jake’s high school football was cut short because of injuries but that did not stop him from being part of the team. He still showed up to every practice, every dinner, and every game to support his team. He loved the New England sports teams the Red Sox, Celtics, and Patriots. His recent trip to see the Boston Red Sox rained out, He recently played for a men’s softball team. Full House Sales and Lease. He loved fishing in the basin, Taylor Pond, and just about anywhere that he could cast a line. He loved to aggravate his grandfather. They loved to fix things together.
He met his soulmate in May of 2021, and started to settle down. He loved to travel and see new places. He recently travelled to Niagara Falls with his fiancée and close friends. They loved to go the White Mountains and stay at the Adventure Suites. They always stayed in a different suite. A special thanks to Conrad Childs for helping him become the man he was.
He is survived by his fiancée, Hannah Steele of Turner, His Mom, Melissa Stratton of Mt. Vernon, his Father Steven Wilson of Augusta, his four brothers and a sister. Steven and Tyler of Augusta, Corey of Auburn, Dustin of Sidney, and Alisha of Somerville. His maternal grandmother, Cheryl Stratton of Augusta, his paternal grandfather Clifford Wilson of Chelsea, his bonus family, Kerrie and Conrad of Auburn, Matt Mahar of Turner, Kate Stanley of Durham, Kendra Wilson of Auburn, Kailee of Auburn, Cody Childs and wife Carlie of Auburn, Kasee Solis and husband Ethan of Durham, Kathryn of Mascotte, Florida, Cayden of Auburn, Chance of Auburn, Gayle and Mike Pettingill of Turner, Jimmy and Sam Vachon of Leeds, Ryan Blais of Lewiston along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Terry Adams and his paternal grandmother Lois Wilson, and an Uncle Jimmy-Lee Wilson.
Memorial services honoring Jake’s life will be held at East Auburn Baptist Church Friday September 15th at 11:00AM.
Family and friends are invited to visit Thursday September 14th from 4-7PM at East Auburn Baptist Church 560 Park Avenue Auburn
